The regular research on the traces of ancient metallurgy in the area of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains started in 1955. In 1967, the research was transformed into a public demonstration event, and in the present is known under the name of ‘Dymarki Świętokrzyskie’. The group conducting the experiments was mostly interested in the slag-pit furnace technological process and making a rapid progress on its reconstruction, and less in the re-enactment aspect of facts. The ‘Dymarki Świętokrzyskie‘s archaeological festival was and still is a tool for popularizing the results of scientific research not only connected with the iron metallurgy, but also for the archaeology of the Roman times. The event presentation was enriched with new elements and performers from Poland and from abroad were invited, which allowed a broad of experience sharing. One of the most important forms of spreading knowledge is by crafts workshops, which shows various aspects of historical human activity and allow the reconstruction of a fairly complete picture of the everyday life in the Roman times. Apart from craftsmen, there are groups of people dealing with presentations that relate a more generally everyday life in the Roman times, offering a comparison form of two very different realities coexisting alongside: the Roman world and the so-called, Barbarians world. Providing a ‘shortcut perspective' of the everyday life in the Roman Empire to a place that was not part of itself, is justified by the educational character of the festival. The first military shows were organized in 2008 and they are still very popular to the visitors. The main function of the spectacles is the comparison of the tactics and weapons, of the military units, whose fights are the main subject of the presentations.

Since the establishment of the Omnis Barbaria Cultural Association, we received a great support from the daily "Informația Zilei" from Satu Mare, once for showing a great interest for our activities and also for their coverage in the traditional printed media and the online environment. At the end of August, we had the great pleasure of attending at the 49th edition of the Dymarki Świętokrzyskie festival in Nowa Słupia, Poland. Our trip to Poland wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the daily "Informația Zilei". On this occasion, we would like to extend them our gratitute for making possible our attendance to this festival, and also for documenting the event. We use this opportunity to show our gratitude to the festivals organisers for inviting us, and we announce our intention to make a habit out of attending to this great event.
